Our international courses take 14–18 year olds to the edge of the wild through Atlantic salmon conservation and immersive safari. Pick your expedition, or take on all three.
The Expeditions:
1. Canada: Atlantic Salmon on the Miramichi River
Fish one of the world’s most famous salmon rivers. Learn fly-casting, rivercraft, and strict catch-and-release ethics while working with expert guides and conservationists. Study salmon migration, habitat health, and why the Miramichi is vital to the species’ future. This week also includes a multi-day canoe camp down the Cains River, a key Miramichi tributary. You’ll paddle remote stretches, camp riverside, and fish for both Atlantic salmon and native brook trout right where conservation work happens. It’s hands-on conservation at its source — part classroom, part wilderness expedition.

2. Norway: Remote Rivers of Finnmark
Journey above the Arctic Circle to fish Finnmark’s remote, pristine rivers. Here, under the midnight sun, you’ll track Atlantic salmon in true wilderness. Learn advanced river reading, Arctic campcraft, and the unique conservation challenges facing Europe’s northernmost salmon. No roads. No crowds. Just you, the river, and 24-hour daylight.

3. Kenya: Safari in Laikipia
Track wildlife across Laikipia’s vast conservancies — home to elephants, lions, rhino, and pioneering conservation projects. With local expert guides, you’ll learn tracking, animal behavior, and ecosystem balance through game drives, bush walks, and nights under canvas. Experience wild Africa as it should be.
